AIDA to conduct largest fleet modernisation
AIDA Cruises is launching its largest ever fleet modernisation program.
The first phase will see a major overhaul of the Sphinx ships AIDAdiva, AIDAbella and AIDAluna in 2025 and 2026.
They will receive new interior design and technical equipment and systems will be updated.
All staterooms will be completely redecorated.
In addition, the number of suites will be increased.
For the first time in this class of ships, exclusive areas and services will be created.
Guests can look forward a wider variety of restaurants, signature bars and services.
New activity areas will be introduced especially for families.
Felix Eichhorn, President of AIDA Cruises, said: “We are committed to constantly rethinking cruising. The AIDA Evolution program will further develop these fantastic ships.”
As part of the upcoming shipyard overhauls, further investments in sustainable cruise operations are planned, including measures to reduce fuel consumption and increase energy efficiency.
AIDAdiva will be the first ship to be modernised during a six-week dry dock overhaul in spring 2025.
AIDAbella and AIDAluna will then follow.
