Air Asia India fined over pilots’ training failures
Air Asia India was hit with an airline fine for lapses in its pilot training.
The airline was fined $25,000 by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
The airline’s head of training was suspended for three months and eight examiners were each fined $3,600.
There were lapses in mandatory exercises required for Pilot Proficiency Checks, the DGCA said.
The Pilot Proficiency Check is an International Civil Aviation Organisation requirement.
