Air Astana adds new flights to Russia
Kazakhstan carrier Air Astana has expanded its network in Russia with two new routes.
This week it added flights from its Astana hub to Tyumen which operates three times a week on Embraer E190 jets, with nine Business Class and 88 Economy Class seats, and a weekly service to Kazan, operating each Sunday.
The Kazan flight supplements an existing Almaty – Kazan service which runs twice weekly.
This latest network expansion coincides with the arrival of the airline’s second Airbus A321neo which it took delivery of on June 2.
The aircraft will be deployed on domestic and international routes including flights to Russia, Georgia, Turkey, the UAE, Central Asia and China.
The remaining order of 14 aircraft will be delivered over the next two years, which will give Air Astana one of the youngest aircraft fleets in the world, it says.
