Air Astana bags Skytrax award for seventh year running
Air Astana, flag carrier of Kazakhstan, has once again bagged honours at the Skytrax World Airline Awards.
The four-star carrier retained the regional top spot as ‘Best Airline in Central Asia and India’ for the seventh consecutive year.
The Skytrax annual survey collates passenger feedback among both business and leisure travellers, and across all classes.
Results were captured from more than 19 million passengers over a 10-month period which covers their travel experience in-flight and on the ground.
"We are of course delighted and honoured to be recognised once again. This award is particularly important and valued as it has been won based on the personal choice of our customers. I would like to offer them my sincerest thanks," said the airline’s president Peter Foster.
Skytrax performance indicators include check-in, boarding, seat comfort, cabin cleanliness, food, in-flight entertainment and staff service.
Air Astana launched in 2001 and operates flights to over 60 domestic and international destinations from its hubs in Astana and Almaty.
