Air Canada first to sell ancillaries through new ARC mobile app
Air Canada will be the first carrier offering ancillary products for Better My Trip, the new mobile app launched by Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC).
Air Canada’s product offerings loaded in the platform include Preferred Seat selection, advance meal booking, and day passes to Air Canada’s Maple Leaf airport lounges.
Better My Trip is a mobile trip management app that lets travel agencies customize to their own brand identity and combines agency, supplier and post-ticketing airline content in one single platform.
The app interface allows travelers to communicate directly with agents before, during and after a trip.
Air Canada’s ancillary products will go live on Better My Trip in the fourth quarter of this year.
"We’re excited to be working with Air Canada to offer content to their agency-ticketed passengers through Better My Trip," said Doug Mangold, ARC’s managing director of product.
"The company’s initiative and engagement with both its agency partners and ARC has been a superb example of innovation and cooperation."
