Air India Express becomes 100th airline to adopt Sabre network planning tech
Sabre Corporation has signed its 100th network planning & optimisation deal, welcoming Air India Express as a milestone customer.
Air India Express, a subsidiary of Air India, will use Schedule Manager and Slot Manager from Sabre’s Network Planning & Optimization suite.
This will help streamline flight schedules and optimise slot utilisation to create plans that maximise revenue and passenger demand.
“A smart network planning strategy is vital for any airline no matter where they are in the world. But it’s especially critical in India right now where record plane orders, new carriers, new airports, and huge infrastructure investments are changing the shape of aviation,” said Rakesh Narayanan, Vice President, Regional General Manager, Asia Pacific, Travel Solutions Airline Sales.
“This milestone underscores the trust airlines like Air India Express place in Sabre’s ability to deliver technology that optimises their operations.”
Sabre’s Schedule Manager helps airlines create, modify, and publish optimal schedules based on market demand, operational constraints, and business goals,
Slot Manager allows carriers to manage their slot requests and allocations.
Air India Express currently flies 2,800+ weekly departures across 200+ routes and to and from 54 destinations in India, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
