Air Namibia cuts UK flight
African carrier Air Namibia is cutting one of three flights a week between Gatwick and Windhoek.
The reduction in frequency from January 18 will mean the airline will fly just twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Country manager Ken Kakonda said: “With the growth through mainland Europe and the increasing competitive market to Southern Africa from the UK, we have decided to move one flight a week to the Frankfurt route.”
The airline will run five flights a week from the German city.
Air Namibia said it would be contacting passengers affected by the change to offer to either re-book them onto the nearest flight or onto a Frankfurt service including connecting flights from London at no additional charge.
