Air New Zealand announces Sims replacement
Air New Zealand has appointed a new international head to replace Brit Ed Sims, who announced he was leaving the airline at the end of last year.
Sims, who had been with ANZ for 10 years, will be replaced by New Zealander Christopher Luxon.
Luxon is currently President and CEO of Unilever Canada with responsibility for a US$1.4bn business and 1,500 employees. He will join ANZ on May 30 as group general manager International Airline.
Air New Zealand said Sims, who prior to joining Air New Zealand had held senior positions at Airtours and the Virgin Travel Group, was leaving ‘to pursue other interests’.
