Air New Zealand appoints a deputy CEO.
Newstalk in NZ says that Air New Zealand has appointed a deputy CEO, with Norm Thompson, the airline’s shorthaul airlines manager, taking up the newly-created position once his successor has been appointed.
CEO Rob Fyfe says there have been significant changes at Air New Zealand in the last year and the airline is well-positioned to take advantage of strong growth in many of its key markets.
He says the new role of deputy CEO will ensure the momentum is maintained.
Mr Fyfe says Mr Thompson’s achievements at the airline and in New Zealand’s tourism industry are well-recognised across the business community.
