Air NZ to service Australia-Norfolk Island routes
Air New Zealand has been selected by the Australian Government to operate air services from both Brisbane and Sydney to Norfolk Island.
The Australian services will complement Air New Zealand’s weekly services between Auckland and Norfolk Island.
Air New Zealand Group general manager Australasia Bruce Parton said, “Another benefit for our customers and Norfolk Island Tourism is our ability to offer dual destination travel – for example, Australian travellers will now be able to choose to visit both Norfolk Island and New Zealand on the same itinerary.
“We’re also able to leverage our strong distribution platform in Australia to assist with the ongoing promotion of Norfolk Island as a destination.â€
Air New Zealand will initially operate two services per week between Sydney and Norfolk Island (on a Monday and Friday) and two a week between Brisbane and Norfolk Island (Tuesday and Saturday), with services to commence on March 2 next year.
