Air travel disruption continues across the UK and Europe
Thousands of flights have been cancelled across Europe this week due to the extreme wintry conditions and the disruption is set to continue over the next few days.
EasyJet has cancelled all flights to and from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Bristol for the rest of the day and is warning of other cancellations across its network.
It said the most affected areas today will be the south west of the UK and Bristol airport and, the north of the UK including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Newcastle with heavy snowfall expected.
It also warned of disruption to services to and from Gibraltar, due to heavy rain and strong winds, and Funchal, due to strong winds.
Ryanair has cancelled all flights to and from Dublin, Cork, Kerry, Knock and Shannon Airports today.
Flybe has cancelled all flights at Cardiff today and at Exeter until 6.30am tomorrow.
At Edinburgh and Glasgow all Flybe flights have been cancelled until 10am today and at Southampton until 3pm.
Flybe has also cancelled all flight at Dublin and Knock.
British Airways also warned of delays and cancellations at Heathrow, Gatwick and London City.
Anyone due to travel with BA up to and including Tuesday~March 6, regardless of whether their flight is currently showing as operating or not, can rebook to a later date and travel on dates up to and~including Wednesday March 21.
“We expect the weather conditions to remain difficult in the days ahead, so if~you have some flexibility in when you can travel, we would strongly encourage you to take advantage of these extra options,” said BA.

Edinburgh Airport is open for airlines that wish to operate but advised passengers to check before travelling
Bristol Airport is closed until at least midday and Dublin Airport has suspended all flights until tomorrow (Saturday).
KLM was forced to cancel some flights to and from Amsterdam Schiphol due to freezing winds and Geneva airport had to close for a short time yesterday.
Eurostar services were also affected.
