Airbus names new Asia Pacific chief
European plane maker Airbus has named Anand Stanley as new president of Asia Pacific.
Stanley takes the reins from July 1 and succeeds Patrick de Castelbajac, who is leaving the company.
The Singapore based posting will see Stanley head up strategy and future positioning of Airbus across the region.
He reports to Christian Scherer, Airbus chief commercial officer and head of international.
Stanley joined Airbus two years ago as president and MD of Airbus India where he was responsible for Airbus business development and forging relationships with key stakeholders such as government agencies and industry partners.
He has extensive aerospace industry experience having previously held positions with Pratt & Whitney, Lockheed Martin and Sikorsky.
