Next year will be its second summer season at Gatwick. It is increasing overall capacity by 27% with 35 sun and leisure city destinations. A new route to Lesvos (Mytilene) has gone on sale. Jet2 will operate weekly Sunday services from 2 May to 10 October 2027 to the Greek island of Lesvos. It has also increased capacity for summer 2027 to Ibiza, Malaga, Palma and Tenerife. Jet2 launches summer flights and holidays from London Gatwick for the first time on March 26. Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “Since we announced the launch of flights and holidays from London Gatwick, the reaction from customers and independent travel has been incredible.” -

It will boost flights to Crete, Kos and Santorini this summer, with more flights from four UK airports. There are more flights to both Chania and Heraklion in Crete, as well as Santorini and Kos. The extra flights depart from London Stansted, Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds Bradford. Jet2 will have 3.5 million seats in total across 131 routes, with over 360 weekly flights, it says. The additional flights operate between July and September 2026. “Greece is an enormously popular destination, and it continues to appeal to customers. We know just how much holidaymakers love these Greek destinations.” This summer marks the company’s largest ever summer programme to Greece. -

Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks’ inaugural flights for winter took off to Vienna from Edinburgh Airport Newcastle, Leeds Bradford Airport and Liverpool John Lennon Airport. Festive flights to Berlin also departed from Newcastle International Airport. There are eleven Christmas Markets destinations this winter, with flights and city breaks due to launch from 12 UK airport bases. These destinations include Bratislava, Budapest, Cologne, Copenhagen, Gdansk, Krakow, Malmo, Prague and Tallinn. Christmas Markets trips to Tallinn are a new addition, from Birmingham, Edinburgh and Manchester. Also, festive flights are departing from Bournemouth Airport for the first time. Customers can travel to a Christmas Market destination with flights on Jet2.com or with a hotel inclusive package option with Jet2CityBreaks. -

The first flight for 2025 departed from Manchester Airport to the Norwegian city this week. Over the coming weeks, Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks will be expanding their spring 2025 programme to Bergen further, with flights departing from Bristol, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford, Newcastle International and London Stansted Airports. There are flights and city breaks on sale from a total of seven UK airport bases, including 31 departures throughout spring. For the first time, Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks will start operating to Bergen from Bristol, Edinburgh and London Stansted Airports. These three brand-new routes, in addition to the extra flights on sale from existing airport bases, means that the total seat capacity has more than doubled since last year’s programme. In response to customer demand, this year’s programme was brought forward to allow more holidaymakers to enjoy the spring season for longer. As well as providing an easy gateway for holidaymakers to access Fjords such as Nærøyfjord and Aurlandsfjord, the city of Bergen itself has rich culture and history. Bryggen, the historic harbour district, is an UNESCO’s World Heritage site. -

There is additional capacity from nine UK airports. This growth includes the addition of three brand-new routes and additional capacity to popular destinations, as well as extending the season for some destinations. The added capacity represents an additional 96,000 seats going on sale for winter 2025/26 from November 2025 to March 2026. The winter expansion features a trio of new routes including two new Christmas Markets routes from Bristol to Gdansk and Berlin. There is also a new ski route from Newcastle to Chambery which is exclusive to Jet2.com from the airport. Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have also expanded their winter Sun programme to the Canary Islands, Malta, Cyprus, Turkey, Malaga, Alicante, Madeira and the Algarve for winter 2025/26. The expansion to Malta sees an additional 8,500 seats on sale from six UK airport bases. Jet2CityBreaks has put on extra flying from Liverpool John Lennon to Prague and Krakow, with services now operating over the Christmas and New Year period. -

Jet2 says it is a response to customer demand for holidays in Rhodes, Corfu, Crete and Kos. It has added more than 17,000 seats to Rhodes, Corfu, Chania and Kos, available from July through to October 2025. The extra seats are from Bristol, East Midlands, Manchester and London Stansted. It adds up to an extra weekly flight to Rhodes from Bristol, and additional weekly flights from East Midlands to Corfu Manchester to Chania and Stansted to Kos. Summer 2025 will be Jet2.com and Jet2holidays’ biggest ever programme of flights and holidays to Greece. There will be a total of 3.1 million seats on sale between the UK and Greece, with up to 328 weekly departures from the UK at key periods during the summer. Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “The continued appeal of Greece as a summer destination means we are adding even more choice. This latest expansion comes on the back of continued demand for beach holidays and city breaks to Morocco. The companies will operate to Morocco from eight UK bases during winter. The brand-new route to Agadir from Bournemouth Airport was announced as Jet2 launched flights and holidays from Bournemouth Airport for the first time. Weekly Tuesday services from Bournemouth to Agadir start from 4 November 2025 through 24 March 2026. It also expands Jet2’s Agadir programme to seven UK airports in winter 2025/26 (Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and London Stansted in addition to Bournemouth) and nine UK airports across all seasons. The new Marrakech flights from Leeds Bradford Airport commence from 3 October 2025 through 28 April 2026. It marks the second destination in Morocco from LBA. Customers can choose a package holiday with Jet2holidays, a city break with Jet2CityBreaks, or a leisure flight with Jet2.com. Steve Heapy, Jet2 CEO said: “We have experienced a phenomenal reaction since launching our Morocco programme. The milestone was celebrated with a red-carpet welcome and personalised gifts as the inaugural Bournemouth flight jetted off to Tenerife. It signals the start of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays flights and package holidays from the airport. Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will operate to 16 destinations from across Europe, the Mediterranean and Canary Islands during their first summer of operations from Bournemouth. It represents over 280,000 seats on sale. For Summer 2025, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will operate up to 27 weekly flights, including multiple weekly flights to the Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, Turkey and Greece as well to Mainland Spain, Portugal and Madeira. Madeira is an exclusive Jet2 destination from Bournemouth Airport. Two aircraft will be based at Bournemouth Airport. New summer 2026 destinations such as Malaga, Dubrovnik, Kos, Reus and Verona will be supported with the addition of a third based aircraft. The new Bournemouth airport base has created more than 125 new jobs in ground operations, flight deck and cabin crew. From October Jet2 introducing twice-weekly Budapest flights from Newcastle and East Midlands. These additions complement the airline’s existing routes from Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds Bradford. It further strengthens the direct air connectivity between Hungary and the UK. Budapest Airport is part of the VINCI Airports network, which manages the development and operation of more than 70 airports in 14 countries. The East Midlands route sees competition from Ryanair’s existing twice-weekly service, while Newcastle is a brand-new connection after Jet2.com’s successful seasonal trials last winter. It runs from October to April. Máté Ritter, Head of Airline Development at Budapest Airport, said: “We are delighted to see Jet2.com expand its portfolio in Budapest. This expansion reflects the growing appeal of Budapest as a year-round destination.” -

Jet2 will offer new holidays to Greece and Italy, as well as its first packages in Estonia. A trio of Greece destinations will launch for summer 2025 to Poros, Aegina and Leros, flying via Athens or Kos. Additionally, Jet2 will start a new Palermo, Sicily service for summer 2026 – a tenth Italian airport for Jet2. Jet2CityBreaks also revealed Tallinn as a new Christmas Market destination for winter 25/26. At the Cyprus conference, Jet2holidays’ National Sales Manager Simon Marshall said there is continued strong demand for Greek holidays and the company has responded with packages to Poros, Aegina and Leros. Customers can reach Poros and Aegina via flights to Athens Airport from Manchester, Birmingham and London Stansted, with ferry and private transfers included as part of packages. Meanwhile, Leros is accessible via Kos Airport available from nine UK bases in summer 2025. Customers travelling on a Jet2holidays booking to Leros have ferry and shuttle transfers included. In response to demand for Europe’s Christmas Markets, Jet2CityBreaks is also launching Tallinn as a brand-new Christmas Market destination for winter 2025/26. Tallin city breaks are available from Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh. Jet2CityBreaks will operate two weekly trips from each airport from late-November until the week before Christmas. Each of the routes are exclusive to Jet2. -

Luton Borough Council leader Hazel Simmons said Jet2’s investment would ‘deliver for our town and neighbouring communities.’ Jet2 said an initial 125 jobs will be created. It will go up against rivals easyJet, Wizz Air, Ryanair and TUI at London Luton.
