Airlines for America names new communications SVP

Trade group Airlines for America has named industry veteran Todd Burke as senior vice president, communications.

Burke joins A4A after more than 25 years in operations and communications leadership roles

He previously worked at TWA, American Airlines and JetBlue Airways.

Burke starts his new role on March 20, 2017 and will be responsible for digital and media relations, crisis communications, branding and advertising.

He will also develop and oversee the strategic communications plan for A4A.

"Todd is an exceptional corporate and crisis communications executive whose vast airline experience demonstrates a proven track record of strategic communications counsel," A4A CEO Nicholas Calio said.

"Todd has successfully led his airline teams through some high profile issues, making him the ideal person to lead the talented, award-winning A4A communications team into the future."
