ASTA to Testify on Airline Passenger Rights
On Friday, April, 20, 2007, ASTA Senior Vice President for Legal and Industry Affairs Paul Ruden will testify at the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure’s Subcommittee on Aviation regarding Aviation Consumer Issues. ASTA will argue in favor of legislation or other regulatory action to assure that passengers are treated properly by airlines when unexpected circumstances, such as weather disruptions, arise. ASTA has been a vocal proponent of a uniform passenger bill or rights. The hearing will take place at 10 a.m. in Room 2167 of the Rayburn House Office Building. To watch the hearing on Friday morning, go to http://transportation.house.gov/ and click on Next Live Web Cast.
