Alaska Airlines adds service to New York with daily San Jose flights
Alaska Airlines will start new nonstop flights from San Jose to New York’s JFK Airport this summer.
The new cross-country service begins on July 6 which will make it 15 flights a day to NYC from the west coast operated by Alaska and Virgin America.
It also serves Seattle, Portland, Oregon, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas.
"Alaska offers the most coast-to-coast markets of any airline and continues to expand our route network with over 40 new markets added since the acquisition of Virgin America," said Alaska’s vice president John Kirby.
The new Alaska Lounge at JFK’s Terminal 7 opens later this month.
Alaska said it is also adding service between Seattle and New York with a nonstop flight departing in the morning, which offers seamless connections to 10 international cities via partner airlines British Airways and Icelandair.
We continue to add exciting new destinations from our key West Coast hubs and focus cities, providing our valued guests more nonstop options to meet their business and leisure needs," Kirby added.
With the new route to JFK, it will serve 20 destinations from San Jose.
