Amadeus appoints new Asia Pacific president
Travel tech company Amadeus has announced the upcoming appointment of Albert Pozo as new president of Amadeus Asia Pacific.
Pozo assumes the position on August 3 replacing Angel Gallego, who is returning to Amadeus’ corporate head office in Madrid.
Pozo has been with the company since 1993 and has held various regional and global roles.
Most recently he was vice president for Global Customer Group, overseeing business strategy and development for global multinational travel.
"Asia Pacific has been a priority region for Amadeus for many years, and Albert’s appointment builds on our strong business momentum across the region," said Holger Taubmann, senior vice president, distribution, Amadeus.
Amadeus has a workforce of 2,200 in Asia with regional offices in Bangkok and Singapore and research centres in Bangalore and Sydney.
"I couldn’t be more excited to be part of this region, and my top priority is to meet and understand our customers in Asia Pacific. We have a diverse, highly experienced and truly outstanding team in the region, as well as strong business momentum," Pozo said.
