Amadeus drives car rental innovation
Amadeus is launching a new car-booking tool.
Travel agents using the Amadeus Selling Platform (version 4.2 and above) will be able to access Cars Plus in any one of the 10 languages supported by the Amadeus global booking solution.
Cars Plus includes advanced search options (e.g. search for car rental offers around a landmark or an address), multiple comparative availability displays, data pre-population from customer profiles and company/travel agency policies and extensive multi-media (car images, product icons, maps).
“We have already seen in our pilot agencies that Cars Plus has had an immediate impact on car booking behaviour,†said Jérôme Vanazzi, director of Amadeus Cars.
Cars Plus integrates all booking information directly into the PNR, resulting in improved agent productivity and data consistency from front to back office systems.
Meanwhile, Amadeus has launched a promotion asking travel agencies to share what their most important current business need is. Participants could win a brand new Apple iPad.
All agents need to do to be in the running is visit the Amadeus Needs website (http://www.amadeus.com/ineed/au), then fill in the form with their details and their main business need.
Agents must also say why they need an Apple iPad, with entries judged on their creative response to this question. The best entry will receive a 64GB WiFi Apple iPad.
The promotion is scheduled to run until Friday, July 2 and the winner will be announced shortly afterwards.
Amadeus is also running a promotion to celebrate the 2010 World Cup.
Entrants need to correctly guess who will win the World Cup and what the final score will be to win a Nintendo Wii and 2010 World Cup Wii game. Visit www.au.amadeus.com to enter.
