Amadeus expands UK team
Advantage Travel Centres former head of marketing Beverley Barden has joined Amadeus UK.
She has become head of customer segment management responsible for driving greater understanding of the various customer segments served by the company.
Amadeus has also promoted Rachel Castle to head of sales after five years with the GDS.
Leading the UK sales team, she will be looking for growth from the SME sector and well as in business travel.
The appointments come as Amadeus claims a UK market share of more than 32% after attracting more than 100 new clients last year, including Capita Business Travel and JTA.
UK and Ireland managing director Stephane Durand said: “Having worked for Amadeus in a sales capacity for nearly five years, Rachel has played a key role in expanding our client portfolio in the UK and understands what our clients expect from entering a partnership with us.
In her new role, Rachel will be responsible for managing and developing the current sales team to achieve our ambitious growth targets, and Beverley will play a key role in developing greater customer insights which will complement Amadeus’ overall business development.â€
