Amadeus to handle Carnival UK air bookings
Amadeus has signed a five year deal to handle the air component of Carnival UK cruise bookings.
The agreement means the GDS will provide tailored front and mid-office technology using Amadeus Vista and ACE.
Amadeus will manage date from diffeent booking sources and handle reservations, invoicing and accounting as part of the deal with the cruise group which includes brands such as Cunard, P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises and Ocean Village.
Amadeus UK managing director Stephane Durand said: “Amadeus has had a long-standing and valued relationshipwith Carnival UK and its many brand, and we are thrilled that this industry giant has chose Amadeus to handle the air component of their bookings.
“The air portion of a cruise booking is an often overlooked but key element of the trip. As the UK cruise market continues to experience tremendous growth, the need for a smart and reliable sales process is paramount.”
