American Airlines adding routes at Philadelphia
American Airlines plans to fill the gaps in its Philly network with new routes to the City of Brotherly Love.
It will launch flights from Philadelphia International Airport to San Antonio, TX from February 15, 2018, followed by Des Moines, Iowa, Madison, Wisconsin and Omaha, Nebraska on May 4.
These flights will offer more options for travelers traveling transatlantic routes out of PHL, American said.
"These new domestic markets are important and will complement the recently announced international destinations from our Philadelphia hub," said Vasu Raja, American’s vice president, network & schedule planning.
"American offers more non-stop flights than all other airlines combined at PHL and we are excited to add to that roster."
The carrier recently announced new flights to Prague and Budapest from Philadelphia, taking the number of destinations served by the airport to 116.
Also from March 25, 2018, one cross-country service to Los Angeles will be operated with an Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
