Another BA emergency slide mishap
Another British Airways crewmember is in hot water after inadvertently deploying an aircraft’s emergency slide.
It happened this week at London Heathrow.
The Airbus A321 aircraft, scheduled to depart for Brussels, had no passengers aboard as it was prepping for boarding.
It led to a delay for passengers as the aircraft had to be replaced.
Emergency services responded to the scene as per normal procedure.
“We apologized to customers for the delay and our teams worked hard to arrange a replacement aircraft so customers were able to travel with us as planned,” a BA spokesperson said.
It is not the first such incident, having occurred on a couple of occasions in recent years.
