Another flight ordeal for MyTravel passengers
Hundreds of holidaymakers from Britain suffered a 43-hour flight delay ordeal after the jet they were due to travel on aborted take-off, the Daily Express reported.
It is the second incident involving a MyTravel aircraft in as many days.
The pilot of the MyTravel charter plane halted it on the runway after detecting a lack of power in one of the engines, the paper said.
Earlier the plane had suffered problems with its back door, which cabin crew were unable to close, and its air conditioning also failed, sending temperatures inside the aircraft soaring, according to the Express.
The trip from the Canary Islands to Manchester should have taken four and a half hours.
The newspaper quoted a MyTravel spokesman as saying: “We have experienced a number of flight delays over the weekend due to the knock-on effect of aircraft developing technical faults. We apologise to any customer experiencing delays.”
