APT launches New Zealand brochure 2007-2008
Three small group regional tours have been added to Australian Pacific Touring’s new 2007-2008 program for New Zealand.
The tours are limited to 16 passengers and feature key destinations Marlborough (ex-Wellington), Coromandel (ex Auckland) and Fiordland (ex Queenstown). Two are four days and one is five days and they are priced $1290, $2110 and $1200 respectively.
These regional tours are for passengers seeking an in-depth regional experience as an add-on to a main tour, but of course can be sold separately, said APT’s General Manager Sales and Marketing, Chris Hall.
In other brochure changes, Premier Plus tours (which offer full a la carte dining and best hotels and resorts available) are now limited to a maximum of only 38 passengers and the luxurious Hermitage Hotel in Mt Cook National Park has been added to Premier Touring.
Mr Hall said reducing the passenger numbers from 48 to 38 meant more space on tour, less hassle with transfers, more time to explore attractions and better communication with tour directors.
The new brochure features seven Premier tours (ranging from three days to 18 days), seven Premier Plus tours (three days to 24 days) and two cruises (21 and 23 days).
Mr Hall said the 18 days Royal Tourer ($5195) was the most popular Premier Tour while the 18 days Great New Zealand Experience ($6690) led sales in Premier Plus category while the 21 days Naturally New Zealand cruise ($6785) was the preferred cruise.
