APT to offer new indigenous experiences
APT has a formed an indigenous partnership with Djabulukgu Association to create Kakadu Cultural Tours which offers exclusive experiences in Kakadu National Park and Arnhem Land.
The partnership provides employment and training opportunities for Aboriginal people through tourism development which support local Aboriginal communities.
Exclusive use of Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge and Hawk Dreaming Wilderness Camp in Kakadu National Park are highlighted in APT’s 2011-12 Northern Territory Short Breaks brochure.
An Uluru Aussie Barbecue and drinks and nibbles at Window On The Wetlands are also singled out as key APT points of difference.
More than 100 Short Breaks are featured in the new brochure which covers Alice Springs, Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon), Nitmiluk National Park (Katherine), Darwin, Kakadu National Park, Litchfield National Park, The Ghan, 4WD touring in the Kimberley to Mitchell Falls and Purnululu (Bungle Bungle) National Park and Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge.
It carries an early bird 30 percent discount on a companion’s tour price for any APT Red Centre or Top End package of two days or more, or a 15 percent discount for single traveller.
Bookings must be made before April 30 for travel before June 30, 2011.
