Man charged over violent airport meltdown
A man caused havoc at Miami International Airport, attacking multiple people including a TSA officer.
Dylan McDougall, 28, was arrested at the airport.
Officials said McDougall started punching an elderly man at the airport in a ‘unprovoked’ attack.
He was also allegedly threatened other passengers.
A police officer and TSA agent approached him and were also allegedly attacked by McDougall.
He was charged with battery on a person 65 years or older plus three counts of battery on a police officer.
The incident came a day after McDougall caused an alleged inflight incident that led to a flight being diverted to Miami.
“Our officers are on the front lines of aviation security, and any assault on them is unacceptable,” a TSA spokesperson said.
Law enforcement hasn’t given a likely motive for McDougall’s behavior.
