Major tour operators are getting back to normal flight patterns today (Thursday).
Thomson and First Choice said that the "substantial majority" of their normal outbound programme will operate.
The confirmation from the TUI Travel operators comes on top of plans to return all stranded customers over the first 48 hours "or so" after the lifting of air restrictions last night.
Managing director Dermot Blastland said: "Our priority has not changed. We focus on getting all those who have been delayed in resort back home to their friends and families.
"On top of that, we have the systems and the team in place to get back to normal outbound service as fast as possible."
Thomas Cook resumed its normal flight and holiday programme today.
Group CEO Manny Fontenla-Novoa said: “In addition to our regular flying programme, we will continue to operate additional flights to bring home those customers still overseas.
“We are thrilled to be able to return our flying schedule to normal, whilst ensuring the speedy return of those customers still stranded abroad.”
