Atlas Travel insurance join Farebase web portal
Atlas Travel Insurance has entered into an agreement to become a new member of the Farebase Travel Community Portal.
This agreement will enable Atlas to offer on-line travel insurance services through the portal to travel agents who will still benefit from the commission on the policies that they transact. All invoices are issued on a net basis and the agent will have the option of selling on a gross or net basis so they can control level of commission they wish to generate from each transaction.
Atlas is offering very competitive rates for travel agents and the ability for agents to review their statements at any point in time. . All policies will be fulfilled through the web site with confirmations being emailed to the agent and clients and policies being issued on-line.
The Atlas system also prompts the user ‘step by step’ to ensure that the agent complies with all the necessary regulations including health checks and ABI Code of Conduct.
Atlas Managing Director, Joe Karim, commented, “This service will enable agents to quickly and easily compete with the growing demand by the independent traveller who wishes to select separate elements of his/her travel requirements. They will be able to search for the best fare; hotel and insurance offer in a matter of minutes and insurance at same time conclude the sale of all these elements to the client. It will be exceptionally beneficial to those agents who do not have existing agency agreements. This service is also of great value to home workers”.
Jon Constantine, Managing Director of Farebase concluded, “We are very pleased to be able to offer agents this new important travel service product through the portal. It continues our strategy and philosophy of enabling the travel agent to use the latest technology tools to effectively compete in the market place”.
