ATPCO buys SITA’s Airfare Insight fare management system
ATPCO has completed the acquisition of SITA’s Airfare Insight fare management system.
The transaction closed in early January and ATPCO will integrate it into its newly designed pricing tool.
Due to the challenges in aviation brought by the Covid pandemic, ‘it was the right time to optimize industry investments and consolidate systems,’ ATPCO. said.
Airfare Insight’s customer base includes Emirates, Singapore Airlines and Xiamen Air, and most of them had agreed to the deal prior to the transaction closing.
SITA said it plans to continue operating Airfare Insight while ATPCO works to integrate it into its own Architect pricing tool.
"After a lengthy review, we feel this deal will be a big win for airlines in a time where they need our support the most. We are already the home for fare distribution, and Architect is well positioned to serve the airlines’ needs," said Alex Zoghlin, CEO of ATPCO.
