Australian hotel bodies form JV to project ‘one voice’
The Australian hotel lobby is to get a unified voice, following the announcement of a partnership between its two major players.
The Australian Hotels Association (AHA) and the Accommodation Association of Australia (AAoA) will form a joint venture to better represent the accommodation industry, with "one voice."
AHA president Peter Burnett and AAoA president Gary Crockett are signing a memorandum of understanding to create a "complete" advocacy body.
"This is a significant day for our industry bringing together the Australian Hotels Association (AHA) and Accommodation Association of Australia (AAoA) boards to agree to work together on behalf of our respective members," Burnett said.
The first step will be to create a new representative board nominated from the two organizations.
Both bodies agree a common voice will be more effective when speaking up for the industry at a national and international level.
