AVANI to debut in Luang Prabang with new hotel opening next month
AVANI Hotels & Resorts is gearing up to make its brand debut in the historic UNESCO town of Luang Prabang, Laos.
AVANI+ Luang Prabang opens in March, and is located at the confluence of the Nam Khan and Mekong Rivers on a narrow peninsula.
The 53-room hotel becomes the ninth AVANI property in Southeast Asia and features French neo-classical design reminiscent of the grand colonial era villas Luang Prabang is noted for.
Rooms have French-style louvered doors opening on to views of the pool or a private courtyard.
Amenities include The Bistro, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, the AVANISPA and AVANIFit, which has daily yoga classes.
"Luang Prabang has long been a bucket-listed destination for travellers throughout South East Asia with its ancient temples, beautiful French UNESCO listed architecture and stunning riverside scenery," said Alejandro Bernabé, operations vice president at AVANI Hotels & Resorts.
"Plus with the recently launch Mekong Kingdom Cruises, that offer day trips or overnight cruises to the resort from Thailand, the new hotel is a welcome addition to the AVANI brand.
Andrew Jansson has been named as hotel general manager, joining from sister brand Anantara where he served as hotel manager for Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort.
AVANI+ Luang Prabang joins a growing portfolio which currently numbers 21 properties open in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
There is a robust development pipeline of new Avani properties scheduled to open in South Korea, the Maldives, Mauritius, Tunisia and Oman.
