Avro switches md
Avro managing director, Andrew Nicholson is to be replaced following a decision by the firm to move him to an e-commerce role.
Mr Nicholson will take the new role of managing director e-commerce and new media for the group tour operations. He has been given the task of tackling Avro’s online presence in the B2C and B2B markets.
His replacement for the role of managing director will be current commercial director and ex-TV Travel Shop director, Michael Vinales.
The promotion for Mr Vinales comes after just over six months with Avro. Before TV Travel Shop he held roles with Thomas Cook, JMC and Sunworld.
Last week Avro announced the relocation of its call centre, threatening up to 60 job losses. The Cosmos sister company plans to relocate its call centre and customer service operations into the group’s Stockport call centre.
