B2B bed bank Hotbeds gets access to IHG rooms
InterContinental Hotels is to make its rooms available via business to business bed bank Hotbeds.
The two have reached an agreement for Hotelbeds to connect to IHG’s central reservation system, giving it access to IHG’s 12 brands including InterContinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn.
Hotbeds, which was sold off by TUI last year, will have real-time rates at over 5,000 hotels in more than 100 countries.
The move will give IHG greater access to more than 120 markets.
"This is a landmark deal for us and helps further our wholesale strategy by moving towards dynamic pricing and away from property based static rate agreements," said Andrew Rubinacci, senior vice president, distribution and revenue management.
"Hotelbeds is the right partner for us and we’re excited about our new agreement with them."
Carlos Munoz, managing director of Hotelbeds Group’s bed bank business said: "We are excited and honoured to forge a partnership with IHG that demonstrates our shared confidence in the future growth of the B2B industry."
