BA announces new Dreamliner routes

British Airways’ new 787-9 Dreamliner will start flying to Abu Dhabi and Muscat from November 5, it announced today, with a new First Class cabin.

BA’s 787—8 predecessor offers only economy, premium economy and business class.

As the 787-9 is 20 feet longer, there is room for a small first class cabin offering eight seats, compared to 14 on other BA long-haul aircraft.

Created specifically for the 787-9, the first class suites include four new storage areas and new in-flight entertainment consoles.

BA confirmed last month that the first route to benefit from the new aircraft will be Delhi, in October.

December will see the new 787-9 start flying to Kuala Lumpur, February will see it operating to Austin, Texas, and May will see it travel to San Jose, California.
