BA looks for new UK head of sales and marketing
British Airways is recruiting a new UK head of sales and marketing after Richard Tams heads up the airline in China.
Tams will be based in Beijing, representing British Airways and parent company, IAG, as executive vice president China and the Philippines.
Drew Crawley, British Airways’ chief commercial officer said: "This appointment reflects the importance of this hugely strategic market for British Airways and marks the start of further investment in the region.
"Richard has done a fantastic job generating business and driving leisure sales with his team in the airline’s biggest market, here in the UK and Europe."
Tams began his career with British Airways as a graduate trainee 23 years ago and was appointed head of UK&I sales and marketing in January 2009.
He will stay in his role until the head of UK&I sales and marketing, which is being advertised internally and externally, is appointed.
