BA shuffles winter schedules

Tuesday, 01 Jul, 2009 0

British Airways is scaling back flights on some routes from Heathrow, but increasing others this winter.

Brussels flights will go from seven to six flights a day, Paris Charles de Gaulle from 10 to nine, Nice and Berlin from six to five and Edinburgh from 11 to 10.

But the airline is increasing the number of flights to Warsaw and Istanbul.

From October 25, the airline will move from two to three flights a day from Heathrow to Warsaw and Istanbul.

The airline will also be increasing the number of flights from Heathrow to Rome from five to six a day, but reducing the Gatwick to Rome flights from two to one a day.

These changes are in addition to those announced last week which included additional services from Gatwick to Bermuda (from five to six a week), Barbados (from nine to 10 a week) and St Lucia and Port of Spain (from three to five a week).

BA is also increasing flights from Heathrow to Barcelona from five to seven a day and Prague from three to four a day.
