BA will fly A380 on London-Miami route
British Airways is to operate super-jumbo flights from London to Miami next October.
The double decker Airbus A380 will fly twice daily from London Heathrow to South Florida.
BA director of strategy Lynne Embleton said: "British Airways’ A380 services have proved to be really popular with our customers and we are confident that Miami will be equally successful as part of our Atlantic joint business with American Airlines, US Airways, Iberia and Finnair."
Featuring 469 seats, the super jumbo will replace the Boeing 747s that BA currently flies on the route.
The service will operate out of Terminal 3, where BA is renovating and extending its check in areas and enhancing baggage systems.
By next October, all BA Heathrow flights will operate out of Terminals 3 and 5.
