Backpackers go missing from beach in Australia
Police in Australia have reported the disappearance of two backpackers.
The alarm was raised after the belongings of a British man and a French man, both 20, were found on Shelley Beach, about 250 miles north of Sydney, on Monday.
Police searched the location and discovered a rental car nearby containing their personal items and travel documents.
They carried out ground and water searches on the popular surfing beach but have not found any sign of the pair, who have been named as Hugo Palmer, from East Sussex, and Erwan Ferrieux.
It is believed they had been travelling down the east coast, stopping at various locations along the way.
