Bad weather disrupts ferry services

Tuesday, 04 Feb, 2014 0

Bad weather has forced ferry companies to cancel some crossings today and tomorrow.

Brittan Ferries has cancelled its Portsmouth to Bilbao service today (Tuesday) and its Bilbao to Portsmouth service tomorrow.

Passengers were moved on to an earlier ferry, which left yesterday, and will spend two nights on board.

Separately "due to enforced operational reasons" its Portsmouth to St Malo ferry this evening has been delayed from 2015 to 2300.

Meanwhile, LD Lines has moved its Gij-³n to Saint Nazaire crossing today forward from 2200 to 1800 "due to ongoing severe weather conditions".

The 2300 Gij-³n to Saint-Nazaire sailing tomorrow has now been cancelled and replaced by a 2200 sailing on Friday 7 February.

The 1800 Poole to Gij-³n sailing today will now leave tomorrow at 1300 and the 1300 Friday sailing will leave on Thursday (a day earlier) at 1700.

The Saturday 1600 Poole to Santander sailing will leave Friday at 2300.

Passengers wishing to re-book or request a refund should contact their booking agent or our customer service team on the numbers below.
