Bangkok blazes as curfew is extended
A curfew in Bangkok has been extended for three more nights and is covering 23 provinces across Thailand.
The measures came in after anti-government protest leaders surrendered after troops stormed their Bangkok camp, ending weeks of protest.
The so-called Red Shirt protestors had set fire to the offices of a TV station in the city, trapping 100 people.
Fires were reported to be raging in 27 other locations around the Thai capital, including the Stock Exchange, banks, and the upmarket Central World shopping mall.
Around 40 people have been killed in the clashes, including an Italian journalist.
