BAVARIAN CASTLE CAPERS WITH ALBATROSS

Thursday, 13 Mar, 2008 0

Londoners may nominate Windsor Castle but Bavarians claim that Neuschwanstein, built by ‘mad’ King Ludwig, is the world’s most famous castle.

Travellers joining a 15 day journey from Munich through Bavaria to Slovenia, Croatia and Italy can decide for themselves when they visit the castle as part of a tour that visits some of Europe’s most historic cities.

Departing June 15, July 13 and 12 September the tour includes three nights in the baroque splendor of Salzburg, two nights on the shores of Lake Bled in Slovenia including a visit to the capital Ljubljana and three nights in the harbour town of Opatija in Croatia to allow time to absorb the character and ambience of the surrounds.

Two nights spent in Castelbrando, a luxury hotel and former Roman fortress in the Italian Dolomites, completes the tour which concludes in Venice.

Groups are limited to 30, departures are guaranteed and the cost of $4789 per person twin share includes 14 nights accommodation, all breakfasts, most dinners, guides, coach travel, all tips, entrance fees and hotel porterage with no optional extra charges.
