BCD Travel Wins Kodak Global Account
Imaging services industry leader taps BCD Travel to service company locations in 30 countries around the globe
London, 22 September 2006 – BCD Travel, the third-largest global travel management company, is pleased to announce that Kodak has selected BCD Travel as its global travel management provider. BCD Travel will service Kodak in 30 countries.
Kodak is the world’s foremost imaging innovator, providing leading products and services to the photographic, graphic communications and healthcare markets. The company posted sales of $14.3 billion in 2005.
BCD Travel has provided corporate travel management services to Kodak since 2003, with US reservations processed through a call centre in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Following Kodak’s decision to award a global contract to BCD Travel, the company will consolidate services for Kodak’s European locations in two multi-channel, multi-lingual call centres in Belgium and Denmark.
Mike Buckman, CEO of BCD Travel, said: “Over the past three years, we have developed an excellent relationship with Kodak, and we are proud to be working now with them across the globe. Our understanding is that they have chosen to continue working with us because we have information, tools and resources to simplify and streamline their travel processes, enabling Kodak and its travellers to focus on their key business.”
Commenting on the decision, Doug Baldy, manager of corporate travel services for Kodak, said: “We are very excited by the global service proposal put forth by BCD Travel, particularly their vision for providing intelligent technology to support our European-based travellers in a cost-effective environment. We appreciate their strategic approach, which is tailored to support our corporate goals.”
