Bmi regional appoints new director
Bmi regional has appointed Colin Lewis, formerly European marketing director of directory enquiries service 118118, as director of marketing/
Lewis was also previously head of marketing at CityJet and head of sales and marketing at Aer Arann (now Aer Lingus Regional).
In addition, he spent eight years in product, business development and marketing roles with Thomas Cook.
Lewis was awarded the title of ‘Marketing Leader of the Year’ in 2008 by the Marketing Institute of Ireland, and in 2012, he was made a Fellow of the Institute for his achievements and contribution to marketing in Ireland.
"It’s really a great privilege to be able to work with such a great brand and help reinvent the business now that the airline is an independent carrier," he said. "My priorities are to build the brand’s digital capability, refresh the product offering and launch the new routes successfully. We need to strengthen our position in the UK, at the same time as create a strong platform for the brand in key European markets such as Germany."
