Booking system for videoconference rooms debuts

Saturday, 21 Jun, 2013 0

whyGo and Global Videoconferencing Network (GVN) yesterday announced the launch of a new booking system for videoconferencing facilities.

The system lets travel agents or corporate customers book videoconferencing just like they book airline tickets.

It includes 3,500 public videoconferencing and Telepresence venues, and also allows corporate customers to load their own videoconferencing rooms.

The global videoconferencing and telepresence market grew 10% in the fourth quarter of 2012, to $822 million, according to a survey by Polycom Inc., a provider of videoconferencing equipment, as corporations tried to hold down travel costs by meeting on video instead of face to face.
