British Airways adds eight new destinations for the summer 2026
Chania, Guerney, Kalamata, Olbia, San Sebastian, Tivat and Toulon in Europe, St Louis in the USA: these are the first announcements of British Airways regarding its summer timetable 2026, starting from March 31.
First to start will be the route from London Heathrow to Guernsey on April 19, 2026. British Airways will operate the only direct service between London Heathrow and Guernsey from next summer. The year-round, daily flights will operate from the flag carrier’s hub at London Heathrow Terminal 5. Timed to offer seamless and convenient onward connections to over 20 European destinations, including Rome, Madrid, and Geneva, as well as transatlantic destinations in North America, including New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto.
On May 14, 2026, British Airways will launch three weekly seasonal services to Tivat, Montenegro from London Heathrow Terminal 3. The route will be served during the summer season every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Neil Chernoff, British Airways’ Chief Planning and Strategy Officer, said: “We’re pleased to be expanding our route map with the addition of two new routes for customers to explore, bringing the total number of our Heathrow short-haul network to nearly 100 destinations. Montenegro is an ideal choice for those seeking stunning coastlines and year-round sunshine, and the addition of Guernsey is something we know our customers have been eagerly awaiting. As the only direct service between Heathrow and Guernsey, the route will offer conveniently timed connections to more than 20 European destinations, providing greater choice and flexibility for both leisure and business travelers alike.”
On April 19, 2026, British Airways will also launch its new US route to St Louis. The flight will be served by a Boeing 787-8 four times a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) from London Heathrow. This will be a real event for the Missouri metropolis: the last time a British airline flew to St Louis was back to 1984 with a service from British Caledonian out of Gatwick.
Regional flights from various UK airports
British Airways subsidiary, BA Cityflyer is also expanding its network with three new destinations across Europe for summer 2026, already available for booking. The new services include flights from London City to Toulon Saint-Tropez, France; London Stansted to Olbia, Sardinia; and Glasgow to San Sebastián, Spain.
