British Airways shares push ahead again
There were few moves of major consequence for travel and tourism shares yesterday, as London’s equity markets pushed ahead. The FTSE 100 index added 53.9 points to close at 4906.2 – its highest level since June 2002 – while the FTSE 250 put on 59.2 points to end the day at 7225.4. British Airways enjoyed another positive session, adding 5.25p to end the day at 271p after a similar day yesterday.
