British father and two children killed in Croatia car crash
A British father and two children have died in Croatia after their car collided with a truck on a popular tourist road.
The man’s wife and her eight-year-old son are currently in intensive care at a hospital in Dubrovnik.
It is believed the family, who were in a BMW 3 series car with British number plates, had driven to the country on holiday.
The accident happened this morning in Slano, near Dubrovnik, on a road popular with holidaymakers heading to the Croatian coastline.
The driver of the truck, believed to be a road maintenance vehicle, was not harmed.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office confirmed the deaths of three British nationals and said it was providing consular assistance.
