British medical students murdered in Borneo
Two British medical students have been murdered in Borneo after reportedly being attacked by a local gang.
Sources said the 22-year-olds were fourth-year medical students from Newcastle University who were attached to the general hospital in Kuching.
They were found lying on the road several metres apart with serious stab wounds.
Sarawak’s Deputy Commissioner of Police said both groups had been drinking at different pubs in Kuching earlier before coming across each other.
The Malaysian Chronicle reported that police arrested three of four suspects at their homes and seized a car, a knife and other exhibits to assist in the investigation.
