Tickets to the British Travel Awards have sold out a month ahead of the event, prompting organisers to add another 13 tables.
The 2010 gala night at Battersea Evolution on November 4 will now have capacity for 1250, creating the largest audience in the ceremony’s history.
BTA chief executive Lorraine Barnes Burton said: “We still have more than a month to go before the awards night so it’s very gratifying to be in the position of having to add more tables already.
“When consumer voting finishes on the September 30 and last round shortlists are announced we know that there will be even more demand, especially from those hoping to collect the coveted trophies.”
She added: “The BTA’s Gala Awards black tie dinner is a fantastic night out and great value when you add all the components together. It’s a show, a four-course dinner with wine, a chance to dress up, and a brilliant travel industry-networking event. The newly added tables are already starting to go so do not delay if you haven’t already booked.”
