British Travel Awards winners announced

The British Travel Awards has announced its 2010 winners, voted for by the consumers.
The glittering event took place at Battersea Evolution in London’s Battersea Park on Thursday night.
Thomas Cook walked away with the best all-inclusive tour operator while Virgin Holidays took best weddings and honeymoon tour operator and best ski and winter sports operator.
Haven Holidays was best camping and mobile operator and Kuoni was awarded best safari, nature and wildlife operator.
P&O Cruises was handed the best mainstream cruise line and best luxury cruise line while RCCL scooped best family cruise line.
Virgin Atlantic received best business/first class airline, best economy class airline and best scheduled airline long haul.
Easyjet was named best no frills airline and British Airways was voted best scheduled airline Europe.
Heathrow Airport was named best business airport and Manchester Airport best major UK airport.
P&O Ferries won best cross channel ferry operator while Avis scooped best business car hire company and best holiday car hire company. But car hire company of the year went to Hertz, stealing the crown frm Avis.
Premier Inn was voted best business hotel chain and best leisure hotel chain. Sandals won best all-inclusive hotel/resort company and TripAdvisor best travel information website. Thomascook.co.uk won best travel agency website.
Best UK boutique hotel was picked up by the Dorchester and Visit Britain won best national tourist board.
